Contains excerpts from Casper's letters home during the war in response to the Saints At War questionnaire. Addresses his living conditions on military bases, hospitals, dental school, and at his separation center. Also describes his duties while working in the hospitals. Discusses the support he received from his family, his health, and memorable experiences. Emphasizes his contact with the LDS Church throughout his military service (attendance at meetings, religious conversations with fellow soldiers, and contact with other LDS soldiers). Photograph shows Casper in full military dress.
